Wondering how to leave a Kindle review for your favorite books? Follow these four easy steps!
Before you begin, you should know that Amazon will only allow people to leave a review if you’ve purchased $50 on a valid credit or debit card. If you don’t meet that criteria, you will not be able to leave a Kindle review.
Also, if you receive a book for free from an author looking for reviews, you must disclose that in your review in order to be transparent to readers of the review. More on this later.
Step 1: Head to the Amazon book page and purchase/download the book
If you want to review one of my books, here are the links to all of them available for download through Amazon Kindle:
The Metamorphosis of Marc Sullivan
You can follow these steps for any book, though; just choose the Amazon page for your desired book.
Step 2: Navigate back to the book page
Once you’ve finished reading, go to the book’s Amazon page. For my books listed above, you can click the hyperlinks above to navigate back to the Amazon page.
Step 3: Scroll down to the “Customer Reviews” section
Click the “write a customer review” button.
Step 4: Leave a star rating and written review
Click the “write a review” button.
Input your review. For book bloggers/reviewers: If you received your book for free, you need to let readers know this. Something along the lines of “I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an independent, fair, and honest review” will let the reader know of any potential conflict of interest.
When you’re finished, press “submit” and your review will be submitted to Amazon.
