Stories are life. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t telling them. When I was little, I spent a lot of time writing simple, thirty-page “novels” about spies and superheroes. Thanks to a couple of high school English teachers, I expanded the length of what I wrote into true short stories and even a novel. My English professor Ed encouraged me to write a screenplay, and I also wrote for my college newspaper as a news and culture columnist.
During college I also began experimenting with the visual form of storytelling through video editing. I interned at a NASCAR track to create digital media for all sorts of different races, started a YouTube channel of my own, and taught myself different editing software to stay on top of the industry trends. This helped me land a part-time job editing videos for a leading gaming YouTuber.
And while I’m able to utilize my video skills in my day job, I’ve come full circle by serving as the senior marketing coordinator for the world’s official SAP publisher. In this role, I write for and oversee the development of the official blog, create social media posts, handle SEO for product pages, and more.
In my spare time, I continue to write fiction and poetry, some of which I’ve published via Kindle, with plans to provide a print copy of one book soon. I’d love to share the news with you when that time comes, so if you’re interested, you can follow me on Twitter @TheWriterSean. Thanks for stopping by!
